There doesn't seem to be any way to get to the root. when I quit pine the system logs out and disconnects. I am curious about what happened to the good old interface - the TFN Main Menu. I thought things would be better after that long offline period. I have never done any of the things you have mentioned and don't really understand what you are trying to do. Thanks again for your support. mg On Mon, 16 Apr 2001, Linh Pham wrote: > On 2001-04-16, Michael Greenspoon scribbled: > > # I do not know how to get to "/usr/ports/www/lynx" and "make install". > # > # There doesn't seem to be an access point in the pine setup. > > Exit out of Pine, su to root (assuming that you are part of the wheel > group, if not, logout and log in as root) and run the following command: > > cd /usr/ports/www/lynx ; make && make install > > If it states that /user/ports/www/lynx could not be found, then the > Portls connection wasn't installed. > > -- > Linh Pham > [lplist@closedsrc.org] > > // 404b - Brain not found > > To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
