:> I am not 'walking all over people'. I am simply trying to work on
:> the project.
:
:Well, at last count there were only one person peddling that point of
:view and at least 5 or ten arguing that you _are_ in fact walking all
:over people.
:
:You can either take a clue from this or you can wait for a bigger
:clue to come your way.
:
:Please back this commit out, lets discuss which of you and John has
:the best approach and move it from there.
:
:If you insist on not backing this out, eventually core will to do
:it and you and I both know how much trouble _that_ is.
:
:Save us the trouble Matt, you are not gaining more fans this way...

If John wants to work with me he can have a conversation rather then
simply try to pound a VETO stamp into my head. This commit does not
interfere with anything he is doing and I am perfectly willing to work
with him to work out any wrinkles he believes could occur from it. I
am not going to back it out just because he doesn't like it, nor would
I back out his commits just because I don't like him not instrumenting
Giant. I am not that kind of person. I would ask him to allow me to
add Giant instrumentation, and he can certainly make similar requests of
me. But holding up the commit arbitriarily on a whim is not appropriate.
