Thanx guys for the help....

It turns out that the problem is coming from my secondary DNS server. The
secondary was doing exactly the same. As soon as I kill named on the
secondary, the load went down to 0.00 0.00 0.00

Why would this happen?

I don't think I configured secondary DNS correctly. By the way, how would
you configure it? Any special settings in the DNS records?

I gotta read up on my O'Reilly DNS and BIND book....

thanx again
and if you have any more info, mail me
