okay trying to install ntop on to my machine. running freebsd 4.3 i updated to the lastest ports. i go to /usr/port/net/ntop i remmed out forbidden i run make i get this: ===> Extracting for ntop-2.0_2 >> Checksum OK for ntop-2.0-src.tgz. ===> ntop-2.0_2 depends on file: /usr/local/lib/libgdchart.a - not found ===> Verifying install for /usr/local/lib/libgdchart.a in /usr/ports/graphics/gdchart ===> Extracting for gdchart-0.10.1_1 >> Checksum OK for gdchart0.10.1dev.tar.gz. ===> gdchart-0.10.1_1 depends on shared library: gd.2 - not found ===> Verifying install for gd.2 in /usr/ports/graphics/gd ===> Building for gd-1.8.4_6 cc -O -pipe -DHAVE_LIBPNG -DHAVE_LIBJPEG -DHAVE_LIBFREETYPE -I. `/usr/local/bin/freetype-config --cflags` -I/usr/local/include -c gdft.c *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/graphics/gd/work/gd-1.8.4. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/graphics/gd. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/graphics/gdchart. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/net/ntop. now i went to ntop site and freebsd and can't find a thing. or not what a newbie might understand. i applied for ntop list and says i am registered but when i send a email it bounces back. thanks frustrated To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-newbies" in the body of the message
