Hi, there, I just read your post on JDK1.1.8 on FreeBSD 4.8. I was able to get it to work after running into the problem you = described by installing the compatXXX libraries by using = /stand/sysinstall --> Configure --> Distributions via FTP. Once this was = done, the JDK BINARY release worked without any problems. Hope this helps. Tim de Vries devriest@telus.net
