I am reading the MySQL manual for 4.4.1-alpha where it said: "FreeBSD is also known to have a very low default file handle limit." (Section 2.4.6.1) I check the limit by using: >sh -c ulimit -n < unlimited Though I don't know if this is the correct way to check "default file handle limit", but it looks like FreeBSD does not "have a very low default file handle limit"?
