            Bug ID: 212396
Summary: Dual ifconfig DHCP entries in rc.conf from install
           Product: Base System
           Version: CURRENT
          Hardware: Any
                OS: Any
            Status: New
          Severity: Affects Many People
          Priority: ---
         Component: conf
          Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org
          Reporter: johannes@brilliantservice.co.jp

When installing 12-CURRENT to a laptop I had forgotten to plug in the netwo=
rk
cable so the DHCP configuration failed. I then plugged in the network cable=
 and
selected DHCP again and configuration succeeded as expected.=20

However, when examining the rc.conf after reboot I noticed dual entries like
'ifconfig_re0=3D"DHCP"'.=20

Maybe we should check if an entry already exists before adding again or add=
 it
after success is confirmed. There are many reason the network configuration
could fail...
