I'm not sure what to make of this problem, so I'm hoping someone can tell me
how to deal with it.

I've been running nessus 1.0.10-STABLE for some time, it compiled just fine
on my FreeBSD 4.4-R O/S.
#>uname -a

"FreeBSD ajax 4.4-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.4-RELEASE #0: Tue Sep 18 11:57:08 PDT
2001 murray@builder.FreeBSD.org:/usr/src/sys/compile/GENERIC i386"

I decided to try the new 1.1.14-Experimental and so uninstalled 1.0.10 and
attempted to install/compile (nessus-installer.sh, binary only) the 1.1.14
version.

The compile failed when compiling the nessus-core with the above error:
"/usr/libexec/elf/ld: cannot find -lint1".

So I figured there was something wrong with the 1.1.14 version, did an
uninstall-nessus, pkg_remove nessus and attempted to install/compile
(nessus-installer.sh binary only) the 1.0.10 version which I had previously
installed/compiled successfully.

Version 1.0.10-STABLE also failed with the same error.

Has there been a change in the LINT file "ld" lately............?

Can anyone give me a clue on how to fix this compile error....?

Thanks.

Mike
