You should be able to fit a (very) minimal FreeBSD installation on a zip
disk. Depending on how your system is set up, you may not be able to boot
off a zip. Is the zip SCSI or IDE? If it is IDE, what position on the IDE
bus does it hold (primary/secondary, master/slave)?
