For APC UPSes, sysutils/apcupsd is probably preferable. It's also under active development, the developers are well-versed in FreeBSD-specific issues, and respond quickly to questions on the mailing list. The FreeBSD port is a little behind the current release, but still works fine for most cases. Robert Huff
