torsten.eichstaedt@web.de has reassigned Bugzilla Automation <bugzilla@FreeBSD.org>'s request for maintainer-feedback to pkg@FreeBSD.org: Bug 199296: ports-mgmt/pkg: should disable "old" periodic scripts https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D199296 --- Description --- pkg (install script or pkg2ng or 1st run) should disable the old periodic scripts in /etc/periodic/* e.g. by deleting them or chmod'ing the executable bit. One gets junk mails about old packages otherwise after switching to pkgng. At least please include a hint in the pkg's message.=
