I'm trying 5-CURRENT 'bootonly' cd images (tried floppies, self-made boot.flp bootable cdroms, same results) from snapshots.jp, and the cd spins up, the BTX banner thing briefly appears, screen goes blank, spin CD spin, reboot. 4-STABLE from snapshots.jp works just fine.

I dunno, but maybe it's related to the "reboot buglet in BOOT_BTX_NOHANG"? If so, the patch that was applied to HEAD is:
