I'm suspecting I have the same issue with 6.0-REL (both CD and -p4  
build locally) on a Dell PE800 server.  Safe-mode boots ok, but  
otherwise it locks up.  Curiously, the serial console is still  
responsive but the keyboard is not.

I'm trying disabling acpi now...
