(apologies if this is not the right list to send this to) I am delving into Gnome for the first time and in trying to build galeon port I got this error. ===> Verifying install for gnomevfs.0 in /usr/ports/devel/gnomevfs ===> Extracting for gnomevfs-1.0.5_4 >> Checksum mismatch for gnome/gnome-vfs-1.0.5.tar.bz2. Make sure the Makefile and distinfo file (/usr/ports/devel/gnomevfs/distinfo) are up to date. If you are absolutely sure you want to override this check, type "make NO_CHECKSUM=yes [other args]". *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/devel/gnomevfs. *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/www/galeon. # I had just cvsup'd to bring my system up-to-date and I think I did it properly. I resolved the problem by installing the gnome-vfs package.
