Another reason to consider, at some date, 7.0 will not be amintained anymore. At that time you may be facing difficulties to upgrade to the latest legacy release: upgrades are better tested when done in sequence: 7.0 to 7.1, 7.1 to 7.2, etc. 7.x to 8.y. 7.0 to 8.y may work, or may not.
