Sorry, I had not thought about this purpose of the blanks ...

They existed in the initial import of the marker file, but have
been removed before on most lines (but this might have been due
to less people sharing the same exact co-ordinates - the initial
locations were not specified as precisely as most entries are now).

I'll revert the removal of those blanks from name fields - but I
do think that a better solution should exist (and I might implement
it, if I find some spare time, have done it before in a complex page
layout for software that had to prevent printing overlapping symbols
and it was not too complex to implement).
