Yes.  But keep in mind that the 4.4-stable GENERIC kernel is about
2meg uncompressed.  Looking at how pico generates a tiny compressed
kernel and how tinyware and crunch conspire to fit most of what
you want onto a single 1.4Meg floppy can be enlightening even for
hardened Linix fans.
