SMART support is: Ambiguous - ATA IDENTIFY DEVICE words 82-83 don't show if SMART supported. A mandatory SMART command failed: exiting. To continue, add one or more '-T permissive' options. Of course smartctl refuses to work with this drive (it works with all of the other ones). My first thought was that the firmware on the drive was somehow corrupt, but the drive otherwise appears to work fine. It even works pefectly if I use the DOS based disk manager that came with the drives (MaxBlast I think it was called).
