The system time returned by date(1) is advanced 4 hours from the
correct time.

>From dmesg:

Timecounter "i8254"  frequency 1193182 Hz

and..

Mounting root from ufs:/dev/ad0s1a
Invalid time in real time clock.
Check and reset the date immediately!

The mobo is a Gigabyte GA-7N400 with AMD processor

This is a
>From kernel config:

machine         i386
cpu             I686_CPU

The CMOS clock is set to local time and appears correct.

The time zone is set from tzsetup.

Any help is greatly appreciated.. I'm out of ideas.
