The following reply was made to PR misc/41058; it has been noted by GNATS. From: "Graham Wharton" <graham@gwsoft.co.uk> To: <freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org>, <graham@pageinabox.com> Cc: Subject: Re: misc/41058: Limit set on the number of groups a user can be in. Date: Sat, 27 Jul 2002 21:53:10 +0100 Just noticed. sys/syslimits.h:#define NGROUPS_MAX 16 /* max supplemental group id's */ Not so much a bug report now. Is this just a value plucked from mid air or is there a reason for not allowing a user to be in more than 16 groups.
