Is this the reason ? According to http://www.freebsd.org/releases/7.0R/todo.html there is a very short list of things left to fix. The most important issue is some sort of TCP problem (TCP timers are listed as requiring more testing). Unless someone in release engineering answers your question, that's the best official information I'm aware of. - Bob
