I've never used them either.. certainly they are irrelevent to us because
we import the freebsd tree into a subdirectory of our own cvs tree.

I'd rather leave such details to those who care about them and can test
them.
It doesn't have ay real effect to leave it out (i.e. doesn't break the
build or anything)
