It's not your window manager's job to provide a screensaver. You probably want to install xlock or xcreensaver, both of which are in the Ports Collection. You can also use xautolock with them, to automatically start them when you become idle. I don't know if there's a way to make the console screen savers work in X. I suspect that there isn't.
