You do have - imake for one.  imake-6.8.2 is for use with Xorg.  You want
imake-4.5.0 when using XFree86.  (The ports used are devel/imake-6 and
devel/imake-4 respectively.)

You can always do it the way I do it when I reinstall my ports - nuke
everything and reinstall them from scratch. (By nuking everything I mean
doing essentially a "pkg_delete '*'" and then following up with 
"rm -fr /usr/X11R6 /usr/local" just to take care of any debris.)
It does take a bit of time rebuilding everything, but I almost never have
any problems building any ports.
