perhaps im not counting octets correctly...

you have 5 and not 4 and if this is ipv6, thats still not the correct syntax

Trouble description

test on freebsd-i386 (FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE P8):
#  route add 10.0.24.45.10/16 -interface tun0
route: bad address: 10.0.24.45.10/16

test on freebsd-amd64 (FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE P8):
#  route add 10.0.24.45.10/16 -interface tun0
Segmentation fault: 11 (core dumped)
