Ok. I understand this needs to be done with %%LIBVERSION%% (from looking
at other ports) but how does this work? Could you give me an example
please?

This particular library is likely to see updates very rarely as it
should technically only change when the ALSA specification does (and
even then, it might not, if the parts it uses are not changed).
