What is in your $PATH ? Which ssh is started ? I suspect, you have /usr/bin in front of /usr/local/bin in your PATH, and thus, it's /usr/bin/ssh (system installation) that gave you the output, and not /usr/local/bin/ssh that was installed by the port/package.
