Try giving 1:wd(2,a)/kernel at the Boot: prompt. If this works for you,
rebuild a kernel with the line:

config kernel root on wd2

in it. If it doesn't make that behavior the default, try renaming your
wd2 drive to wd1 (again, in the kernel config file, and also change
/etc/fstab).

You may also search the archives for more detailed descriptions of the
solution as this problem was answered many times before.
