I have an odd crash that I need some help tracking down.

I have a PPro with a built in aic7880, ide controller, etc. today for
the first time I put an ide drive into the machine. since I wanted to
see what on it (and hopefully to mount it and do a make install).

when I did an fsck on the drive, it fixed a few problems and then it
paniced. so i tried it again, and got an identical panic. I'm
running
uname -a

FreeBSD 3.0-CURRENT #0: Sun Dec 14 16:50:40 MST 1997
imp@harmony.village.org:/home/imp/FreeBSD/src/sys/compile/HARMONY
i386

these sources were checked out just before the build from my cvs tree
here that is updated via ctm.

does this crash look familiar to anybody? any ideas where to go from
here? Thanks for any help you might be able to give me. I can
provide additional inforation if that is needed.
