Ok, sry for the repeated list spam but I see your error now.

You ignore my first mesg since I do see now that it picks up the dev on 
cd0.  Your syntax is wrong.

should be:

growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/cd0 -J -R disk1

not

growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/acd0 -J -R disk1
