Ah ha! I must have created the symlink myself (ref my reply to Rahul).
I just tried making the gv port but it fails big-time:

parish# make

>> Attempting to fetch from ftp://ftpthep.physik.uni-mainz.de/pub/gv/unix/.
Receiving gv-3.5.8.tar.gz (369609 bytes): 100%
369609 bytes transferred in 94.5 seconds (3.82 kBps)

===>   gv-3.5.8 depends on shared library: Xaw3d.6 - found
===>   gv-3.5.8 depends on shared library: X11.6 - found
===>  Patching for gv-3.5.8

Any suggestions as to what's wrong? It seems to be missing Athena
stuff, but the dependency checked said it was found OK.
