Please note that I am using mod_proxy_ajp and that I notice many keepalive statuses in Tomcats' jk-8009 service. Perhaps (I just thought) that is the cause of the httpd processes that stay around. ============ hi clement, platform: FreeBSD 6.2-BETA2 amd64 apache 2.2.3 When restarting the httpd process with either /usr/local/etc/rc.d/apache22 graceful or apachectl graceful, httpd actually spawns a new process without stopping the existing. replication: repeat the above. regards, Niek
