While it may be unrelated to the kernel panics, you may need to upgrade
your BIOS Firmware - does the BIOS report this incorrectly, or does
FreeBSD mis-match?  If it's a mismatch, that could be a problem, if not,
it's probably a firmware flash that's needed.
