I haven't seen a 2.40 beta announced at seamonkey-project.org
either...but the 2.39_3 port arriving to replace 2.39_1 and
then failing to install because of noted vulnerabilities was
odd.

Today a pkg update let me update from 2.39_1 to 2.39_3 that way.
