I'm looking into porting OpenBSDs ifstated to FreeBSD (pretty useful, especially for carp), and to my knowlegde I could need a SIOCGIFDATA or quivalent for the interface status in different fields.

>How-To-Repeat:
Line 574 in src/usr.sbin/ifstated from the OpenBSD3.6 src tree it uses the SIOCGIFDATA the first time. The use of SIOCGIFDATA is partially emulated in contrib/pf/pfctl/pfctl_altq.c but the use in ifstated seems more elaborate, and a SIOCGIFDATA would be quite usefull.
