Whew! I'm finally getting around to reviewing this! (It's been a
*terrible* month.) Feel free to heed or ignore as much of this as you
wish:

The introductory paragraph is pretty good. I think I'd add an
additional paragraph or two with headings that answer direct questions
so the reader can know right away if s/he needs to delve any further,
plus a paragraph giving an outline of what's to follow is nice:

	Introduction
		<your current paragraph>
		Do I Need a Print Server?
			<paragraph describing situations in which one's useful>
			<plus material from your current introduction>
		What's In This Chapter
			<bullet list of major subheadings>

Next, you might want to create a new section that separates out
installation issues (how much disk space to allocate) from the print
server proper issues (how to set up /etc/printcap). For example, your
headings might go:

	Disk Space Considerations
	Location of the Print Server
		On a FreeBSD host
		In a LPD-capable network printer
		...
	Print Server Deployment
		Store-and-forward
			...
		Filtering
			...
	Examples
		...

The rest of the body text is nicely explanatory. I wouldn't change a
thing except to change passive to active voice (replace "a2ps was used
to convert..." to "Here, we use a2ps to convert the ...")

In the example section, I particulary liked the diagrams that show the
flow of the print job from user workstation eventually to printer---a
nice touch. It shows a novice user what's going on, but also lets an
advanced user say, "There's the configuration I want, so I'll just
modify this example."  Good stuff.

Are you ready to create an SGML version of this text?

Take care.
