Maybe a little late. I don't know if the problem is solved:

This looks to me like a DNS problem. Sendmail can not qualify your DNS
domain name. Perhaps you should modify your DNS configuration or /etc/hosts
(or maybe /etc/resolv.conf) file. This should solve this problem ........
