Subject: Installation challenges: CD not detected after installation begins

Hi. I have a PIII 550MHZ with Asus Motherboard, Asus S400/A CD-ROM, and am
trying to install on a 421 MB Seagate HDD connected to the secondary IDE
channel on a Promise Technologies Ultra ATA-66.

The system boots from the Asus CD-ROM fine (came with Walnut Creek CD-ROM
book "Complete FreeBSD 4.0". UserConfig seems to work as all devices appear
to detect OK. During Probe I notice the CD-ROM is detected as acd0c. I start
installation, partition, select X-user system; however, after asking for
source and selecting CD-ROM, it spins up. A message "Filesystem information
transfered successfully" appears, but then I get message: "Unable to
transfer the bin distribution from acd0c"

If I Alt+F2 I get the following line "debug: distExtract:parent (none)
me:bin"

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
