Hmmm. I tried adding this variable to my environment but nothing changed.
Seems jade is trying in vain to find:

  /usr/local/share/sgml/docbook/catalog

but the only "catalog" files that exist after installing docproj are

  /usr/local/share/sgml/docbook/3.*/catalog

???
