 This seems to be related to the length of a line in the ports INDEX file.
 
 To work-around it it, I simply removed the "p5-Task-Catalyst-1.90" port 
 from INDEX and INDEX-5 (I bet INDEX and INDEX-6 for you)
 
 grep ^p5-Task-Catalyst-1.90 INDEX | wc -c
      8199
