I'd like to install the Java Development Kit on my FreeBSD 3-stable system. The directory in /usr/ports/lang/jdk has a README.html but no Makefile. I've used cvsup to upgrade the ports distribution, but this hasn't changed things. The directory in the ports hierarchy is dated July 26, which seems a little old to me. I've found the port on www.freebsd.org, but I'd like to stick with the formal ports system so that I can track it with cvsup if at all possible. I'm obviously missing something important here: Any hints would be gratefully received.
