I've been running CAM since it first showed up on -current. I'm trying to move from 19980520 to 19980712 without much luck. I'm not CTM literate so I can't grab the 19980712 current, thus I instead grabbed ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/pub/FreeBSD/cam/3.0CAM-19980712-SNAP/src/* and untar'ed it all into a blank /usr/src I then basically followed the CAM README instructions. (skipping the patch, it seems to already be applied) make buildworld dies running mtree complaining that it doesn't recognize 'nochange' on line 58. I recompiled and re-installed mtree but it did not help. Even if you ignore that error, buildworld dies elsewhere: cc -O -pipe -DLIBC_RCS -DSYSLIBC_RCS -I/uss/src/lib/libc/include -D__DBINTERFACE_PRIVATE -DPOSIX_MISTAKE -I/uss/src/lib/libc/../libc/locale -DBROKEN_DES -DYP -I/usr/obj/usr/src/tmp/usr/include -c /uss/src/lib/libc/../libc/gen/lockf.c -o lockf.o /uss/src/lib/libc/../libc/gen/lockf.c: In function `lockf': /uss/src/lib/libc/../libc/gen/lockf.c:62: `F_ULOCK' undeclared (first use this f I also tried building a kernel. This worked fine, but the kernel panic'ed when trying to boot the root device just after it said /kernel: changing root device to sd0s2a. which seemed unusual to me. The 19980520 CAM kernel says /kernel.old: changing root device to da0s2a which makes more sense to me. Basically, I am lost as to how to proceed. -- Brian Litzinger <brian@litzinger.com> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-scsi" in the body of the message
