I'm assuming you can "cd /usr/ports/x11/kde11" and, make, make deinstall and make reinstall. You might have to do a make clean. I think what you did is comparable to having a mechanic work on your automobile engine while your are driving down a freeway. You just broke it a little more than I expected. > 2) How do I install kdevelop? I think what I found the easiest is to "cd /usr/ports/devel/kdevelop" and do a make and make install. You need to see what is needed before you start and http://www.kdevelop.org/ is where you can read about the software requirements. There are a lot of options such as kdbg, and ktranslator. I think you can add most using "Kdevelop setup" from KDE's development menu. It checks for everything you can use each time you run the setup. If you try to search in the docs, you need programs such as glimpse, which is also in the ports. You can always pkg_delete, cd and make clean, and redo your make and make install. > 3) Non related: I saw that many ports are coming in two versions. A > regular and a "-i18n" version.
