The default FETCH_CMD for the ports tree is fetch(1), which (by default) deletes aborted download fragments. This is (just one) of the reasons why I use pftp as my FETCH_CMD. However, I wouldn't recommend that for novice userse, since aborted downloads present their own problems if not deleted. :-) Ciao, Sheldon.
