try:

	X -configure

It will create a file called:  XF86Config.new  in your working directory.
This can be your configuration file.

you can prove it works:

	X -xf86config  ./XF86Config.new

if it works, just press CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE to close X and return to
your console.

Read it  [more XF86Configure.new]  you will find all the information
you are asking for in there.
