what does that have to do with it. I believe his reply was to lower your
MODEM speed, not your CPU speed. SIO has overflow problems on some
machines when operating at high port speed due to buffers being to small.
So stop running at 115K or whatever and run at 28000 or such.
Then your problems should go away. If not keep lowering your modem speed
till they do.
