Hi there,

XFree86 doesn't work on my computer. I have a fairly new ATI Mach64
2M DRAM card. Basically, the 3.1.2 probes well except the card type.
(see the following messages) Mine is a PCI card.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
XFree86 Version 3.1.2 / X Window System
(protocol Version 11, revision 0, vendor release 6001)
(... messages deleted)
(--) Mach64: card type: EISA
(... messages deleted)
xinit: Resource temporarily unavailable (errno 35): unexpected signal 1
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

The screen goes blank, but Ctrl+Alt+Del still works. I tried 3.1.2B.
It doesn't go as far as 3.1.2. But it seems to get the card type right.
It aborts and doesn't go to graphic mode. The system is ok.

Fatal server error:
no screens found
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown).

I'm wondering if anyone can help me on this. Or Is my card too new to be
supported? Thank you.

Eugene Liu
