Grepping the ports for "ups" yields bkpupsd and upsd, both in sysutils. Upsd
description specifically mentions the APC Smart UPS. If you don't have the
ports collection installed, check out http://freshports.org for more info on
those apps.

Subject: Software for UPS

Sirs,

We (Lichfield Cathedral, UK) are installing a FreeBSD server (Dell 1300
- and I am starting to learn Unix). You kindly advised me already on
networking DOS tills.
Can you advise whether there is any software available for FreeBSD to
use with a UPS (we have in mind an APC SmartUPS)?

Many thanks

Richard Tetley
