You're right, of course, that it's quickly getting out of date.

But I think I like Remko's more conservative suggestion a lot.

We may mark the article, though, as ``of historical importance
for FreeBSD-STABLE users, but useful material for anyone still
using the 4.X releases''.

Then, after 4.X is out of the picture, and we no longer feel
obliged to support users who are using 4.X releases, we can
'cvs rm' it.
