The BIOS is the the latest stable version, the problem actually was ACPI throttling. I suppose this is a BIOS setting on other boards? I couldn't find anything related in my BIOS settings. Ali's suggestion for the loader.conf solved my problem, everything works perfectly now. Thank you! Uwe
